    Introduction

In this guide, we’ll walk you through the process of restoring backups for your Eco server. Backups are essential for safeguarding your server’s progress, whether you need to recover from unexpected crashes, errors, or simply want to revert to an earlier point in your game. By following these steps, you’ll be able to easily restore your server to a previous state, ensuring your gameplay remains uninterrupted and secure.

    How to Restore a backup

    Automatically via Server Backup Restore.

There are two ways of restoring a backup, the first one and the most easy one is to use one of the backups that your Nitrado server automatically creates every day, this is what we need to do to complete this.

    • Stop your server
    • Navigate to your Nitrado Web interface
    • Navigate to the Tools section and then click on Restore Backup.

Once you have decided which backup are you going to restore (in our case there is only one) you need to click on the restore button.

It is important to not interrupt the procedure, just let the server work and after a few minutes, if the server does not restart automatically just restart it.

    Manually via Backup Folder.

Our Second backup option is to do this manually by using the files your server creates in the Backup folder.

    • Stop your server
    • Navigate to your Nitrado Web interface
    • Navigate to the File Browser under the tools section in the left side of the web interface
    • Navigate to the following route eco > Storage > Backup

    Backup Folder.png

    • Select the desired backup folder
    • Inside the folder download the files Game.db and Game.eco

    Backup.png

    • Upload and overwrite the files in the following route eco > Storage
    • Start the server

If you get an error telling you that the file is too big to upload, please upload it with FileZilla using your server’s FTP access, more information can be found here: Using your Nitrado Server FTP.
