7 Days to Die – V3.0 Update

Take Ultimate Command of the Sandbox

The defining feature of V3.0 is total player agency. The “Dead Hot Summer” update transforms Navezgane into the ultimate survival challenge by introducing over 150 sandbox customization options. Want to turn off zombie digging entirely? Fine-tune exact melee and ranged damage percentages? You can now control every single aspect of your world.

Official Presets & The SandboxCode

If dialing in 150 individual sliders sounds daunting, you have eleven official presets to completely shift how the game plays. Here’s a few of them:

• Undead Matinee: A melee-focused vintage movie-inspired mode with slower zombies, swarming numbers & scarce ammo. Includes the new headshot finisher setting.
• Madmole’s Mayhem: Fewer supplies, harsher penalties, including the new item loss and item durability loss on death, along with constant pressure. Madmole… It smells good!
• Almost Creative Mode: The apocalypse, minus the actual apocalypse. Because Dying Is Inconvenient.

Item Magnitude & Combine Stations

Looting is getting a massive structural overhaul! This update implements Item Magnitude, a system that breathes new life into late-game gear progression.

• Boosted Stats: Every weapon, tool, and armor piece you find now has a chance to roll boosted stats. Keep an eye out for an orange star and a teal percentage in your inventory. That means you’ve found a high-magnitude variant!
• The Combine Station: Making its triumphant return to the core loop, the Combine Station allows you to merge attributes of similar items. Got two decent shotguns? Fuse them together to incrementally increase their power and unlock their full potential.
• Progressive Mods: Mod quality now matters. Armor, vehicle, and weapon mods now feature progressive quality levels (Tier 1 to Tier 6). A Tier 1 Grave Digger mod might grant a 5% dirt damage bonus, while a Tier 6 variant pumps that all the way up to 30%.

New POIs & Environmental Overhaul

Exploring the wasteland will feel entirely fresh thanks to 60+ new Points of Interest (POIs) scattered across the world generation. Keep your eyes peeled for the new Tier 5 Champions Coliseum, alongside a host of Tier 4 industrial and military zones packed with high-tier loot. Be cautious though, expect dangerous foes.
 
To make these locations feel organic and eerie, The Fun Pimps implemented the new Sign-Tech system. This completely overhauls environmental signage with thousands of custom canvas and decal signs featuring text, custom layering, and warping. Be immersed while you survive!

Quality of Life & UI Redesign

Your first step back into the game will look entirely different. V3.0 introduces a beautifully slick, redesigned Main Menu UI with a darker, more immersive post-apocalyptic aesthetic. Additionally, combat precision gets an upgrade with a fully customizable crosshair system. Players can now tweak the scale, opacity, color, and dynamic behavior of their crosshairs to perfectly suit their playstyle.
