Upon entering the ARK Extinction map for ARK: Survival Evolved, you’ll discover that the map itself is unique compared to most worlds. New ARK Dinosaurs and Creatures in the ARK DLC Extinction

During your adventures into each new biome, you’ll come across new creatures with almost all of them ready to attack you on sight! Below, we’ll cover a few of the vicious ARK creatures and dinosaurs you’ll meet.

• Velonasaur – Living within the Desert Dome, the Velonasaur isn’t the fastest creature in ARK Extinction, but while slow, it more than makes up for this with its deadly set of spikes that it shoots toward players. These projectiles can inflict massive damage if they hit, making the Velonasaur a force to be reckoned with in the wild. If you see one, prepare for a difficult fight or run and hope you can outrun it in time.

 

• Snow Owl – The Snow Owl is a majestic and graceful creature, soaring through the sky of the Snow Biome where it resides. With its remarkable ability to track prey using its antennae as heat vision, this feathered predator will swiftly dive down to attack. If tamed, the Snow Owl is extremely helpful, capable of traveling by air, carrying resources, and even engaging in fierce battles with other creatures.

 

• Managarmr – Sharing the Snow Dome with the Snow Owl, the Managarmr is a master of aerial acrobatics, flitting around players with lightning-fast speed while dealing modest damage. Although it may not be the mightiest beast in the ARK, its incredible speed and agility make it a prime choice for quick transportation.
