Ragnarok is a DLC that was previously released on PC and is now re-released onto the Nintendo Switch. In Ragnarok, you and your friends will be able to meet new dinosaurs, visit newly discovered biomes, find treasures, and much more. While Ragnarok is considered non-canon to the storyline of ARK: Survival Evolved, there are aspects of this DLC that mirror areas found on The Island and Scorched Earth DLC maps.

Norse World Filled with New Ragnarok Creatures

The Ragnarok DLC contains a large 144 sq kilometer world for players to explore. In that world, many new creatures and bosses await you and your friends. From deadly Ice Wyverns and Iceworms to Spirit Direwolf and the Lava Elemental. The below image shows a handful of the mysterious new creatures you will encounter on your Ragnarok journey!

Unique Environmental Features in the Ragnarok DLC

While exploring the Ragnarok DLC for ARK, numerous elemental features will offer a unique gameplay experience for you and your friends. This includes an active volcano that might erupt at any time, creating lava flows and causing meteors to rain down. Or the frightening sighting of Basilosaurus corpses scattered along the beaches. And if that wasn’t terrifying enough, Shrek may be hiding on this map as you can find Shrek’s hut on it!

How to Try Ragnarok on your ARK Switch Server

1. Head to your ARK Switch server webinterface and stop your server.
2. Next, on the left side under “Settings”, select “General” to edit your server settings.
3. Inside your server settings, find the “Mapname” option. You can use this dropdown to select the “Ragnarok” DLC.

4. After selecting the DLC, press “Save changes”.
5. Lastly, start your ARK server to load the Ragnarok DLC for a Norse adventure!
