In a brutal and unforgiving world in the lands of Conan Exiles, choosing a secure base location can be the difference between prospering and perishing. Strategic positioning is crucial for survival, considering climate, availability of resources, land type, and other factors. When the time arrives for you to build your base, don’t forget to be strategic to ensure your safety and success. 🔥
Here we’ll tell you all you need to consider when building your base in Conan Exiles and we’ll share with you our favorite locations.

When you dive into the savage lands of Conan, being strategic in choosing the right location is a must. To thrive in this harsh world, you have to think about everything from where to find crucial resources to how to dodge the dangers lurking around every corner. You’ll need to gather materials, defend against enemies, and of course – have found the ideal location for your base. With a little intelligence and a keen eye, you can build a base that not only suits your needs, but also allows you to master Conan Exiles. Here are a handful of tips to consider when building your base:
You’ll have to gather materials for construction and crafting, so the place you choose to be your base should be surrounded by essential resources such as wood, stone, iron, coal, or water.
It will always be easier and safer to build on plane surfaces, also, building on an uneven surface may leave your base vulnerable to attacks.
Thralls are incredibly useful for gathering, building, and fighting. The closer you are to these camps the easier it will be to capture them and bring them back to your base.
You don’t want to build your base in a place that is too difficult to reach, but you don’t want it to be too easy to get there either. Make sure your base is easily accessible by foot or mount, so you can get there, and consider building defensive structures such as walls, gates, or towers to protect it from the rest.
Extreme temperatures can affect your character’s health and stamina, so be prepared!
Last, but not least! To ensure the location you choose is THE-ONE, have in mind the proximity to landmarks, chokepoints, or rare resource nodes. This can give you an advantage over the other players when it comes to raidings. 😎

On the coordinates E-10 you’ll find Godsclaw Passage, which’s been known as the farmer’s dream by the community of Conan Exiles since 2007! This area is known for being the best source of Ironstone.

This area is located on the map around the coordinates C-11, although it’s situated close to several barrows full of undead, there are several loot chests in the area, inside the various mounds. This place is the only one where you can find the Specter Coating as a random drop.

You’ll find this cave on the coordinates D-11, with plenty of metal scattered around! Yes, plenty! This area is recommended for beginners as the environment is passive and tranquil, but if you want a spot there you’ll have to hurry. This is a popular area for its natural advantages, the metals already mentioned plus a huge space to craft a big base! Just take into consideration that the biome is tundra so don’t forget the water!

🥁We left our favorite one for the end, located on the coordinates H-6, basically in the center of the map, which makes everything accessible, also you’ll find that this location is perfect for creative players, but for base building what’s better is to go inside the cave. This cave has an opening near the river for easy access to water, and there are also metal and trees around for crafting. This area is also great as a base because it’s not in open sight, making it great for playing PVP!
There you have it friends, follow these tips and you’ll be thriving in no time. Remember, your base isn’t just walls and a roof – it’s the key to ruling this wild world. Choose the right location and you’ll rise to the top. With a little luck and a lot of strategy, you’ll be the supreme ruler of the lands of Conan Exiles in no time! Be ready to forge alliances, wage war, and become a legend of glory and power in these exiled lands!
