The default values for dino settings are set to true, along with a full range of levels capable of spawning. Choose from three main options to edit the dino-level distributions:

Ragnarok-like Levels

Mimic the settings of maps like The Center, Ragnarok, and Crystal Isles, where higher levels have a better chance to spawn. However, the distribution is still somewhat skewed towards lower levels. On max difficulty, certain levels will never spawn.

Equalized Levels

This default setting allows all levels to spawn with equal probability. You have the same chance of encountering a level 5 dino as a level 150 dino. This setting is necessary if you want to customize the minimum and maximum dino levels.

High Levels

Inverts the level distribution to favor higher levels, unlike the vanilla game since that’s skewed towards lower levels. Additionally, the MinLevel and MaxLevel ini options enable you to customize the specific level range of dinos that spawn. This allows you to have complete control over the ARK gameplay!

Compatibility and Functionality

The mod is designed to work with both vanilla and modded dinos, including popular mods like Gaia, Primal Fear, and Kraken’s Better Dinos. However, it is important to note that dinos spawned through special mechanisms, such as item summoning aren’t affected by this mod. For instance, Dreadful Rock Drake from the Gaia mod, which spawns through a specific event, will not have its levels altered by this mod.

Default and Custom Settings

By default, the mod uses the equalized dino levels setting, enabling a full range of dino levels to spawn. To ensure the best experience, especially in single-player mode, you should set OverrideOfficialDifficulty=5.00 in your GameUserSettings ini under the [ServerSettings] section to achieve the maximum dino level of 150.

Special Cases and Exceptions

The mod respects the game’s difficulty settings and works on any map, including those with custom spawners. Wyverns, rock drakes, and tek dinos will continue to spawn at their higher-than-normal levels. However, small level 1 creatures like jerboas, glowbugs, leeds, and boss creatures remain unaffected by the mod. Titanosaurs and bees are affected, but additional ini settings allow you to control this behavior.

Maintenance and Mod Order

The mod can be added or removed without affecting your tamed dinos. Besides that, the order of the mod’s placement doesn’t matter either. For immediate results, performing a dino wipe after installing the mod is recommended, although it is not mandatory.
