Sky Noon – “Duel” Mode Announced! Game Mode and Map Details

Greetings fellow gunslingers! We have some new information to share regarding the upcoming game mode for Duels. The last this was mentioned was in the development roadmap. We can expect this new mode in the coming weeks with update 0.6.

The Duel Gamemode

The new game mode “Duel” will be a 1v1 round based game mode. Matches will take place on very small symmetrical maps including a strict ruleset. Duels are intended to be compact and intense. You will need to perform risky and daring moves to ensure that the other player falls first. You will be able to invite your friend (or enemy) to a personal competitive challenge. Duels will provide the typical Sky Noon experience with randomized loadouts.

In a duel, its either knock off or get knocked off, there is no other choice. When a player is eliminated, the other player will receive a point and a new round will begin. At the beginning of the new round, both players will respawn with new weapons and abilities. The first person to three points wins.

It about time to see who is the best at Sky Noon!

The Maps

The maps will have random weapon and ability crates placed around. Be sure to fight for these and grab them if you are unsatisfied with your loadout or run out of ammo. They are very limited so you must compete with the other player for them.  Each map will have different layouts, as well as complexity and themes. This allows different tactics and grappling maneuvers.

The new coming map “Standoff” will be one of the special maps for the duel game mode.
