V Rising is celebrating “the passing of the leaves, the raising of ghouls and spirits, and human desperation” in the most vampiric way possible, a Halloween Event named Bloodfeast. Bloodfeast is an event celebrating Halloween and all the horrors that come with it when playing V Rising. This haunted V Rising Halloween Event will bring about new spooky content from now until November 7th alongside other spooky events like a V Rising free weekend!

During Bloodfeast you will awaken content that is most frighteningly exciting. Rising from their coffins, V Rising players will see a free DLC pack filled with quests and rewards, a new gamemode, game changes, fixes, and a free weekend to sink your fangs into V Rising for free!

RANDOMIZED V RISING – NEW MAD HUNT GAMEMODE

Two new gamemodes, also known as game presets, have been added to V Rising. The gamemodes, Mad Hunt – PvP and Mad Hunt – PvE take normal V Rising and randomizes it entirely. This preset introduces the element of chaos, randomizing everything from V Blood locations, spell unlocks, and technology locations. While these gamemodes are randomized and a free-for-all, thankfully there are limitations in place to ensure you can still find technologies and advance without getting permanently stuck. During the V Rising free weekend, it’ll be a great time to try Mad Hunt!

TRY THE GAMEMODE ON YOUR V RISING SERVER

With the introduction of Mad Hunt, three new server settings are being added too! On your Nitrado V Rising server, you will be able to freely edit these settings if you play Mad Hunt. If you need help managing your V Rising server and editing settings, you can learn more through our detailed V Rising Beginners Guide for Server Owners.

• • Shuffle V Blood Locations | This option will randomize all V Blood unit locations and will change their faction to reflect the one that they’re replacing. The order of unlocking new technology will still be in the same order and level, but you will face different V Blood units at each place and technology level.

• • Shuffle V Blood Abilities | All V Blood ability rewards are shuffled across the board when using this setting. This can result in some units having only one ability, two abilities, or even zero ability rewards.

• Shuffle V Blood Tech | By using this option, all technology rewards in V rising are randomly shuffled. While the technology rewards are shuffled, pre-defined groups set up for this option ensure that players can still progress forward with essential technology even with the rewards shuffled.

While you’re using these options on your server to play Mad Hunt, the V Rising development team included important notes for V Rising server owners:

• While Shuffle Tech & Shuffle Abilities are activated, some V Bloods may end up with no rewards.
• Enabling any Shuffle settings may only be done when starting a new server save file. These settings cannot be modified on a running server save file, nor can these settings be deactivated on that save file.

V RISING BALANCE CHANGES AND FIXES

• Servant Resurrection timer has been increased to 10 minutes from 15 seconds (Primarily to tackle PvP scenarios where the short resurrection timer could be abused).
• Siege Golem’s health has been rebalanced. By default, Siege Golems will have 250% more health (represented as shield value) than before. The Golem’s health also scales based on the player’s current health to a minimum of 50% of the total health (should the player transforming have less than 50% health, the Golem’s shield value will be reduced accordingly).
• Default time-slot setting for when PvP raiding is active has been reduced to 18:00-22:00 local server time from 17:00-23:00.
• The maximum height travel for Mist Trance has been reduced; this fixes an issue where players could reach unwanted heights using this ability.
• The mirror visuals of the Gothic Mirror and Cabal Mirror have been updated.
• Chandeliers and other rotating buildable objects no longer flicker when “temporal anti-aliasing” and “motion blur” is active.
• The chat message “We are experiencing technical issues on some hardware setups…” every 90 minutes, prompting users to restart their game, has been removed periodically.
• Old saves are automatically backed up when loaded in a new game version. The backed-up save is placed in
  [Save Directory]\.BACKUP\[Old Game Version]\AutoSave_X.save
• Rocks north of the Farbane Bear Cave have been added so that players in the future cannot build in such a way that it blocks the cave exit, trapping players. A new route was also added that can be taken if an actual castle blocks the normal path.
• A glitch in the Silverlight Silver Mines that allowed players to jump into the mountain has been fixed.
• A bug where some world teleporters could stop working for new players has been fixed.
