Euro Truck Simulator 2 – Server First Configuration

Creating ETS2 Server Config Files

1. First, ensure that Euro Truck Simulator 2 is installed on your computer.
2. Next, you need to enable the game console by editing the game’s config.cfg file.
   • Locate and edit the config.cfg file. The location varies depending on your computer’s operating system:
     1. On Windows:

        /USER/Documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/config.cfg

     2. On macOS:

        ~/Library/Application Support/Euro Truck Simulator 2/config.cfg

     3. On Linux:

        USER/.local/share/Euro Truck Simulator 2/config.cfg

   • Inside the config.cfg file, find these settings and change their values from “0” to “1”:
     • g_developer
     • g_console
3. Once the changes are made, save the file. Start Euro Truck Simulator 2 and load into the game world. We recommend waiting in your truck for a few minutes to allow the world to fully generate before proceeding.
4. After several minutes, open the game console by pressing the “~” key on an English keyboard. On other language keyboards, this key is typically located directly under the “Esc” key.
5. Type the command export_server_packages and press Enter. This will export the necessary files for your Truck Simulator server.
   
   
   
   
6. Once the export is complete, you will see the message “Server packages exported successfully.” This process will generate two files: server_packages.sii and server_packages.dat in the Truck Simulator directory (locations listed in step #2).
7. Log in to your Truck Simulator server’s FTP and upload both files to the ets2/save folder.
8. Once the files are uploaded, start your Truck Simulator server, join it, and hit the road with your friends!
