The $15,000 Gobliterator Challenge in Hytale

Simon is offering $15,000 to the first streamer who kills Hytale Chapter 1’s new boss, the Gobliterator. The catch is the run, not just the fight: hardcore, hard mode, no armor, no potions, no glitches, and a full legit solo Exploration clear on stream. This challenge and game update is set to release on October 12, 2026. Chapter 1 Trailer

The Chapter 1 update for Hytale introduces tons of new content, such as the goblin faction, gadgets, rune abilities, and the first handcrafted dungeon with a multi-phase boss. The Forgotten Temple now acts as the chapter hub, meaning you can only find the Gobliterator here after activating the portal to enter its dungeon.
 

 
The pre-release version of the game does not have this implemented yet, so the dungeon you can visit right now isn’t the handcrafted experience. This will only be released when the full update drops.

The Rules As They Stand

Here’s what we know so far about the $15,000 Gobliterator Challenge:

• Be the first streamer to kill the Gobliterator
• Must be live streamed, VOD will be used to review
• Hard mode in a Hardcore world
• Must be a solo run
• Full legit Exploration run
• No armor, no potions, no glitches
• Iron weapons are allowed
• Multiple attempts are fine

This is not the final rulebook. Simon will publish a full list before launch, check @Simon_Hypixel on X for more information closer to the release date. This will likely determine what items specifically are banned, allowed, etc..

Early Tips

We highly recommend building up to the Chapter 1 content instead of jumping head first. If you want to start right now in the pre-release version, then you can do practice runs. This can help strengthen your fighting capabilities, strategies, and give you a glimpse at upcoming hurdles throughout the challenge.
Here’s our suggestions for when you actually attempt the challenge on day one:

• Livestream yourself creating the world with the right settings
• Quickly learn where the Forgotten Temple is located
• Safely get an iron setup route going, make sure with no armor included
• If you haven’t already, practice fighting in these conditions
• Consider having a time limit on gathering all necessary equipment
• Gather building materials, scraps, and other required supplies
• If you suspect a rule was broken during any point, abandon the world & try again

New Dungeon Location

The starting point for Chapter 1 is the Forgotten Temple, so heading there will be how you get to the new handcrafted dungeon. Keep in mind that the Goblin Breach events in the main world are not the same dungeons, they will not have the Gobliterator boss. Simon has kept the actual details hidden and out of public testing, so keep an eye out for more information on launch day.

Dungeon Tips

While exploring and running through the dungeon, here are some tips:

• The rooms before the boss will have extra goblins and changing arenas
• Fight in short bursts. Without armor, one bad hit can end the hardcore world
• Decide whether you will kill extra enemies or run past them
• Spend stamina on rolls and blocks, not on extra loot
• If a room goes wrong, leave and start a new legit attempt
• Pushing your luck too far will almost certainly result in your death

Boss Fighting Tips

During the Gobliterator boss fight, here’s our advice:

• Hits take almost damage all your health, focus on heavy or quick movement attacks
• Strafe and roll on reaction, never stand in hazards just to finish a combo
• Do not panic. Focus on landing committed attacks and do not worry about time
• Study and learn the boss patterns and phases, similar to Souls-like games

Simon didn’t design this Hardcore Boss Challenge to find the best player in Hytale, but rather he wants to see who can survive the entire journey. From the starting point with nothing to the Gobliterator who is specifically engineered to punish unarmored mistakes, you will need all the luck you can get. Until Chapter 1 drops on October 12, treat this as your official prep.
