Hardcore Mode & Combat Mechanics

• 5 Hardcore Variants: World creation now features customizable permadeath settings: Off, Permadeath (single life), Three Strikes (3 lives), Nine Lives (shared server pool), and Soulbound (if one player dies, the run ends).
• Combat Polish: Stamina now refills 0.5s faster after guarding, Dagger combo damage is increased, and hit registration through walls or beyond intended reach has been resolved.
• Fluid Traversal: Sliding no longer consumes stamina, weapon speed boosts carry smoothly through mantling, and Creative sprint speed limits have been uncapped.

World Generation & Builder Tools

• World Visuals: Smooth color blending now fades gradual tints across biome borders, new Mage Towers spawn across Sandstone, Shale, and Volcanic biomes, and a new Wilderness Tracking system distinguishes “Near Home” from raw wilderness.
• Creative Tools: Includes a new Color Tool (Coloring, Gradient, Shading modes), Point Tool for tagged coordinates, Block Palette Presets, and expanded selection handling up to 16 million blocks.
• Prefabs & Logic: Trigger Volumes now support NPC spawning, time-of-day shifting, and custom rule logic. Large prefabs convert to a compact .lpf binary format.

Avatar Customization

• Bastion Cape: Unlocked exclusively for players who enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on their account.
• Visual Reworks: Over 15 cosmetics received visual overhauls (including the Frostwarden Cape, Cowboy Hat, and Bulky Beanie), alongside tuned hair colors and adjusted ear accessory placements.

Performance & Modding

• Network & Chunk Loading: Introduces experimental Quiche Transport network protocol options, 2-4x faster packet decoding, and significantly faster chunk loading and world generation.
• In-Game Mod Browser: Players can now search, install, and manage client mods directly from the main menu, while dedicated server mods continue to be managed via the Nitrado Web Interface.
• Engine Stability: Optimized VRAM usage, multi-threaded chunk processing for Apple Silicon/multi-core servers, and automated recovery for server thread crashes (In other words, increased performance).
