Minecraft 26.2 Update – Chaos Cubed

Underground Sulfur Exploration

As the update’s name hints, sulfur is taking center stage. Exploring the deep reveals a new Sulfur Cave biome, easily recognizable by its new blocks: sulfur and cinnabar. These both can help you make your builds feel more detailed, especially with new decorative colors. Keep an eye out for intersecting abandoned mineshafts too, they contain the new Bounce music disc.

Back above ground in the Overworld, toxic sulfur springs and erupting geysers await. Hanging around too much can trigger a nasty nausea effect, along with being shot up by a geyser. Want to build your own traps or launchpads? Combine water, magma blocks, and potent sulfur to engineer custom geysers.

Meet the Sulfur Cubes

As you explore the new cave biomes, you might find some sulfur cubes! These adorable passive mobs are bouncy and love to consume blocks. They will feed on anything dropped or if you manually place something inside of them. Experiment to see what kinds of effects you get, such as sliding, flying, or more across the terrain.

Bedrock Party Groups

Are you a player on the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft? Perfect – you can enjoy a new party system! Invite up to 14 friends in a group to easily move between worlds, without worrying about inviting them all back. Simply navigate to the Game Menu > Social Drawer to get started. Set it to public or invite only, your call.
