How to Set Up ValheimPlus on Your Server

ValheimPlus adds deep stamina, inventory, and building tweaks to your Valheim world, all controlled from one configuration file. In this Nitrado guide, we’ll install ValheimPlus on your server through the Nitrado Web Interface, then match it on your local client so you can connect.

Important: ValheimPlus is a community-maintained mod, not an official Iron Gate feature, and Nitrado can’t offer support for it. As of publication, no release is confirmed to work with the Valheim 1.0 update launching September 9, 2026. Check the mod’s Nexus Mods page for the latest build before you install, and give the maintainer time to catch up if anything breaks after launch.

Install ValheimPlus Through the Web Interface

Open your Nitrado Web Interface and go to Tools > Addons. Find ValheimPlus in the list and install it from there; the mod activates the next time your server restarts.

To connect to a server running ValheimPlus, you also need the mod installed on your own PC.

Add ValheimPlus to Your PC

1. Download the current release from the ValheimPlus Nexus Mods page and unzip the files.
2. In Steam, right-click Valheim and go to Manage > Browse local files to open your game folder.

1. Copy the unzipped ValheimPlus files into that folder, overwriting the existing files when prompted.

If you’d rather manage ValheimPlus and future updates through a mod manager, Vortex from Nexus Mods handles the download and install for you: add Valheim to Vortex, then install ValheimPlus from its Nexus Mods page the same way.

Match your client’s ValheimPlus version to the one running on your server, since a mismatch keeps you from connecting.

Configure ValheimPlus

ValheimPlus reads its settings from valheim_plus.cfg. On your server, edit this file through Config Files in your Web Interface. Stop your server before you save changes, so the file isn’t locked mid-write.
