- Sniffer – Winner of the Minecraft Live 2022 mob vote for the next Minecraft update, the Sniffer is finally available for players to bring to their world. The Sniffer is an ancient mob that was previously extinct until players began finding their eggs underground. Once hatched, these gentle giants can sniff out ancient seeds to bring new plant life to your Minecraft game server!
- Camel – The Minecraft camel is a majestic new creature added in the latest Minecraft 1.20 update, released on June 7th. This humpbacked creature can safely seat two Minecraft players to ride anywhere in their world!
New Cherry Blossom Biome and Bamboo Wood
If the new Minecraft mobs were not adorable enough, a brand-new biome has been introduced too. The Minecraft Cherry Blossom biome is a lush and beautiful area covered in cherry blossoms. On top of the new wood from that biome, there is another type of wood that’s been introduced called Bamboo. Bamboo is a wood made from the already existing Bamboo item in Minecraft. When nine bamboo are placed together inside of a crafting table, you’ll get the new wood to craft homes, rafts, castles, and more! If you don’t have bamboo yet, you can find it within most thick jungles on your Minecraft server. With that, you’ll then unlock even more crafting possibilities as you play Minecraft with friends!

- Archeology – A feature that has been a long time coming, archeology was originally slated to release in the Caves & Cliffs update. After a few delays, the update is finally here to try in Minecraft 1.20. With it, you can perform archeology on your server by using a brush on suspicious sand and suspicious gravel found in all sorts of places, like desert wells and ocean ruins. From there, you can uncover treasures like emeralds, pottery shards, and more!
- Armor Trim – When armor isn’t stylish enough as you slay Ender Dragons across your server, armor trims are a new feature you can take advantage of. Whether you’re looking for netherite armor with diamond trim, gold armor with iron trim, or even diamond armor with some flashy gold trim. There are over 600+ armor trim options when you try them on your server!
- Hanging Signs – A new type of sign has been added to Minecraft, hanging signs. These signs offer the ability to label areas, offer navigation to players, and more. These can be created, placed, and set with any text to fit your Minecraft server hosting!
- Musical Mob Heads – Minecraft 1.20 is feeling the music with new playable mob heads. To get these on your server, simply place a mob head on a note block. When played, you’ll then hear the majestical melody of that particular mob head.
- Chiseled Bookshelf – At last, books now have a greater purpose in Minecraft. The chiseled bookshelf is an addition that allows you to store books, whether they’re written by yourself, another player, or it’s an enchanted book you found on your adventures!
