Gametracker - Game Server List and Advertising

Gametracker – Game Server List and Advertising

    What is Gametracker? – Introduction

Every day, hundreds of thousands of players around the world jump on servers to explore new universes with friends and others. With so many servers out there, when looking for a place to play a player needs to find the right server. If you’re a server owner, there is where the importance of advertising your server comes in to gain players interested in playing. When sharing your server, one of the best methods is to add your server to a server list, like Gametracker!

Gametracker is a game server listing website that offers the ability to add your server, monitor stats, share the IP, and track player stats at the same time. With time and higher server statistics, you can increase your game server ranking and climb higher in the list. This can help exponentially with players seeing your server and joining to try it out!

Now that you know more about Gametracker, it’s time to learn how you can set it up on your game server! ⬇️

    How to Use Gametracker

Before you can begin using Gametracker, you’ll need an account. If you don’t have one, you can go here to create an account. Once you have an account ready to use, you can begin adding your server to Gametracker!

How to Add Your Game Server

      1. To begin, head to the “Add A Server” servers page on Gametracker.
      1. Within that menu, use the “Game Type” dropdown to select your game server. In our example, we will be selecting the “Minecraft” game type.
      1. Next, add the IP address or domain name of your server, then your server’s port and query port. You can find all of the information that you need to fill these fields in on the top-left side of your server webinterface.
      1. After adding that information, press the “Add Server” button. The page will refresh and you will then see a “Server Added!” message asking you to “Click here to claim your server”. Press the word “here” within that message to begin claiming your server.

      1. Afterward, you’ll be brought to the page for that server and under “Server Management”, you’ll have the option to “Claim Ownership of Server”.

        • If your account is brand-new, Gametracker sets limitations on new accounts. On a new account, you’ll need to wait at least 1 week before you can claim a server. After waiting, you’ll be able to return to the server page and claim the server.
      1. To claim ownership of the server using Gametracker, you’ll need to follow some instructions first. For example, with Minecraft servers you’ll need to set the server name to “GameTrackerClaimServer”, save, restart, and then press the claim button.

    1. Finally, with those steps followed, you can confirm that you’re not a robot and then click “Claim Ownership of Server” to finish claiming it.

    Gametracker Server List Benefits

    Detailed Server Listings

For players looking for a game server to play on, Gametracker allows you to hone in on the exact type of server you’re wanting to play. That includes searching for specific variables, versions, games, and locations.

how to search for a game server

For example, you can search for Minecraft servers, select the version variable, and set the value to 1.19.2 to find servers for that version. Players can also search for servers with mods, plugins, and certain gamemodes. With all this searchability, players are sure to find the perfect server with Gametracker – such as yours!

    Player Stat Monitoring

Gametracker offers real-time player stat tracking of the players on your server for every game they allow on their server list. This means that you can add another layer of fun to your server by allowing players to track their total kills, minutes online, and more. Here is an example of a Counter-Strike server’s player stats:

    Climbing up the Server List

While your server grows, more players will join and your server stats will increase. When this happens, your server’s rank on Gametracker will improve. Not only will that higher rank improve your listing for that type of game server, but it will also increase the listing on specific searches. For example, if you’re a creative Minecraft server running 1.19.3 and your regular ranking increases to 1000, you’ll be near the top of the creative 1.19.3 servers search! Can you make it to number 1 for your game server? We believe in you!
