Becoming an ARK: Survival Ascended Admin on Your Server

When it comes to appointing administrators for your ARK server, there are two primary approaches at your disposal. You can opt for a server password, granting admin privileges to those who enter it upon joining. Alternatively, you have the option to add specific players to a designated list via their Steam ID, ensuring that only these individuals possess admin access during their in-game sessions. Adding an ARK: Survival Ascended Server Password

• Enter your ARK: SA server panel and stop your server prior to making setting adjustments.
• Next, to the left of the control panel locate and select the “General” option under “SETTINGS”.
  
• In your ARK server settings, scroll under the “Base settings” section and locate the option “Admin password”. By default, a random password will already be generated and set for this option.
  
• Click on the field next to this setting to change the password. Type in a strong password that will be impossible to guess.
• After changing the Admin password, press the “Save changes” button at the bottom.
  
• Lastly, start your ARK: SA server to ensure that password is correctly set!

Using the Server Password to Get Admin Rights

• Begin by connecting to your ARK server.
• Next, open your game settings and press the “Advanced” tab.
• From there, on the left find the “Console Access” option. Ensure this is “ON” and save.
  
• Afterward, head to the “Keyboard” tab. In the center options, scroll until you see “Toggle Console“.
• Click this and set it to your preferred keybind, such as “Tab” or “~”, and save.
  
• You can now exit your settings and on your server, use that keybind to open console.
• In this command console, you will need to type this command to gain admin access:
  enablecheats youradminpassword
  
• Once you have entered that command, you will now have admin access on the ARK server and can begin using cheat commands!

How to become Admin on Console.

For you to become admin while playing on console please follow these steps.

• Open your Nitrado web interface and write down or copy your server admin password.

• Open your game and connect to your server as you would normally do.
• Open the settings.

• Go to the advanced tab.
• Change “Console Access” to ON (by default this is off) and save settings at the bottom.

• When you are back at the game just press pause again and you should see a new option at the bottom left called “Console Command”

• Press the assigned button on your controller (the double window button) so you can type console commands.
• A new window should open where you can now enter console commands, in order to become admin enter “enablecheats adminpassword”

• For the admin password you need to enter you own server admin password.

• After this you should be ready to go and you can test your new admin powers by typing “cheat GCM” and then jumping twice which should make you fly.
