If a new DLC on the Nintendo Switch wasn’t exciting enough, an event has gone live today to ensure you can get the most out of ARK: Survival Evolved! Featuring the ARK Summer Bash, this event brings out the inflatables, swim gear, and water guns for the ultimate party. In the Summer Bash, taking place from June 30th until July 24th, you can relax with your tribe on the beach, hunt for new chibi pets, discover new emotes, collect some Swirl Taffy, and so much more. Get ready to soak up the sun in ARK this Summer by hosting the event on your own ARK: Survival Evolved Switch server!

New Missions Await You and Your Friends inside ARK Genesis

In ARK Genesis, you’ll face entirely new missions. To help you find your way from the start, the ever-friendly AI HLN-A will greet you right at the beginning. Not only will it be your guide through the simulations, but you’ll also be able to exchange mission rewards for items and engram points. The missions themselves are varied in Genesis. You’ll have to collect resources, fight against deadly enemies or win a race against dinosaurs. Only then, shall you and your friends be granted the amazing rewards that await!

Discover Deadly Landscapes

ARK: Genesis offers beautiful biomes for you to explore. The problem with this is that all biomes want you dead. The simulations send you into icy mountains, deep oceans, volcanic regions, and more. Did we mention the gravity-free moon region in space? Each of these regions requires a certain amount of preparation, otherwise, you’ll only find death with your crew. Get ready for blizzards, rains of fire, and deadly underwater whirlpools!

Hunt or Tame the New ARK Genesis Creatures

Your legs are already shaking from the new areas? Then you haven’t seen the new creatures yet. Here is a brief introduction to the new creatures:

• Astrocetus – In the moon simulation, you will meet this gigantic space whale. Try to tame it if you are strong enough because its ability to jump through hyperspace is very useful.
• Bloodstalker – This creature appears to be a massive spider but is actually a sneaky bloodsucker. Be on your guard because the Bloodstalker can walk on water and spin your teammates into a web. 
• Magmasaur – You can find this one, as the name suggests, in the volcano region of ARK Genesis. Against him, the rocket launcher is your best friend.
• Megachelon – You’ll find this giant turtle in the ocean and, once tamed, you can use its shell as a mobile base.
• Parakeet Fish – You’ll usually encounter these in the form of a school and can help tame the Giant Turtle.
• Tek Triceratops – As the name suggests, this is a Triceratops, but it looks heavily modified by the Tek element. This one is typically friendly to you and poses no danger.
• Moeder – Also known as the Master of the Ocean, this AI is very deadly. The Moeder is an electric eel that has other eel minions by its side.
• Ferox – The cute Ferox looks like a meek creature at first glance. But don’t be fooled because if the Ferox doesn’t get what it wants, it will grow much larger and become extremely aggressive.

Gear up with New Equipment within the Genesis DLC

By now, you should know how dangerous the new Genesis DLC is. Therefore, you should take your time and craft new equipment. Make new weapons like remote-controlled missiles or plasma claws and face your enemies. But that’s not all because you’ll also need tools such as fishing nets and mine drills in the foreseeable future. The base building also offers novelties such as alarm systems, sea platforms, or springboards. Whether you are a survivalist, a base builder, or a weapon builder, in the Genesis DLC you’ll be able to live your life to the fullest.
