As we await upcoming ARK DLCs, there are smaller updates that release content for thousands of players to enjoy. One of these releases is a brand-new dinosaur, known as the Gigantoraptor! This is currently available as a CurseForge mod, allowing you to install it directly on your Nitrado server. There are highly unique features of the ARK: Survival Ascended Gigantoraptor dino, such as its nature to care for any orphaned baby. We have a lot to unpack, so let’s begin!

ASA Gigantoraptor Features

The Gigantoraptor dinosaur for ARK: SA is an extremely large bird-like creature, with dangerous claws and high agility. Players unfortunate enough to fight one might succumb to its speed and strength – but these battles are completely avoidable. Gigantoraptors don’t want to attack you unless they feel threatened. This happens when you’re too close to its babies, but sneaking nearby helps with that. Understanding how a Gigantoraptor in ARK: Survival Ascended behaves can provide you with tons of benefits.

For example, players can tame gigantoraptors by gaining the trust of their young. Remember, these dinosaurs favor peace more than hostility – so if you’re friends with the babies, they won’t fight. Once the youngling grows up, it’ll become officially tamed for you to use! Gigantoraptors can be used to help teach your other baby dinos how to attack, while also caring for their needs.
