HOW TO TAME MINECRAFT HORSES

The taming of a horse is done by mounting the horse repeatedly by left-clicking your mouse. Based on the temper of the creature, when a player first mounts the creature it will be assigned a random temper threshold between 0-99. You will successfully tame a horse once its temper exceeds the threshold and if bucked off, the temper will increase by 5 until that threshold is surpassed. Additionally, you can feed the horse to increase its temper. Hearts will appear above the horse once it is tamed.

CAPTURING HORSES IN MINECRAFT

When it comes to capturing horses, as well as donkeys, there are two methods you can take to capture them! You can tame a horse and place a saddle on it and then simply ride the horse back to your home. Alternatively, you can create a lead using four strings and a slime ball and then walk the horse back to your farm! Once at your homestead, you’ve captured the horse!

Feed either of these foods to horses, as well as donkeys, to activate love mode in the creatures. This will result in them breeding, which will produce a horse foal. The foal will often have similar colors as its parents and after about 20 minutes, will grow up into an adult horse with stats similar to that of its parents. You can speed up the growth process by feeding the horse apples, sugar, wheat, or hay.

BREEDING FOR A MULE IN MINECRAFT

Mules are the offspring of a combination of a horse and a donkey breeding together in Minecraft. To accomplish this, place a horse and a donkey inside of a fence and then feed them both either golden apples or golden carrots to activate love mode. The horse and donkey will breed, creating the hybrid known as the mule. Starting as a mule foal, after about 20 minutes it will grow into a full mule inheriting similar stats to that of its parents. MOVEMENT SPEED: Moves 7.525 blocks per second
JUMP STRENGTH: Wild donkeys always jump 1 9/16 blocks while bred donkeys can inherit the same jump strengths as horses

MULES IN MINECRAFT

Introduced alongside horses and donkeys, mules offer all the advantages of a donkey with the ability to hold a chest, while also offering the improved speed of a horse when breeding! Mules cannot be found naturally and can only be spawned through breeding a horse and donkey.

HEALTH: Ranges between 15-30 hearts with an average of 22.5
MOVEMENT SPEED: Their movement is always 7.525 blocks per second but donkeys can inherit the speeds of their parents through breeding
JUMP STRENGTH: Wild mules will usually be able to jump 1 9/16 blocks while breed mules can inherit the jump strengths of their parents
