Player Control for Valheim

Overview

Currently there are 4 options available to manage the player population on your server.

• Server Password
• Ban list
• Permitted list (Whitelist)
• Admin list

These files can be found on the config files of your Nitrado web interface

For you to add a player to any list you’ll need to insert the player’s STEAM_64_ID into it, which is a long number and can be found at this website: https://steamid.io/

Example:

Server Password

Your server is protected by a password to limit the access to selected players that you have share the password with, this can be found on the general settings of your Nitrado web interface

Note: The password will be prompted twice, one from the steam server list and then when entering the game.

Player Control Panel

You can use the player control panel to easily add a player to any of the lists.

Adding a player

• Navigate to your Nitrado Web interface
• Navigate to the Player control under the tools section in the left side of the web interface

• Click the Add player button, a new window will appear.

• Once you have gotten your STEAM_64_ID insert it into the text box as seen below, select the desired list and click to Add .

• The player will be added and will be shown in the list below.

NOTE: If the server is running and the server has players in it, by adding a player into the whitelist all players not in the server will be kicked.

Admin Files

Ban list

The Ban list allows you to deny the access to your server to players added into this file.

Once you have gotten your STEAM_64_ID insert it into the text box as seen below, then click to Save Changes .

Permitted list

The Permitted list (also known as Whitelist) allows you to limit the access to your server to only the players added into this file.

Once you have gotten your STEAM_64_ID insert it into the text box as seen below, then click to Save Changes .

Admin list

The Admin list allows you to give in-game admin access to all players added into this file.

Once you have gotten your STEAM_64_ID insert it into the text box as seen below, then click to Save Changes .
