ARK: Survival Ascended Performance

We have experienced an increased resource footprint with all ARK: Survival Ascended game servers. This puts extra load on our servers, which leads to resource constraints for every individual game server.

 

To help maintain a stable gameplay experience for most games while we continue working with Studio Wildcard on a long-term solution, we have put a temporary performance measure in place for some ARK: Survival Ascended services.

 

We implemented measures to pause game servers that have not had active gameplay for at least 1 hour. If your game server was affected by this, you will find the relevant message in the restart log of your game server.

 

Restarting your game server: If your game server was stopped, it can be brought back online at any time via the Nitrado web interface by the server admin or anyone with guest access rights.

 

Please note:

  • Your game server settings and save data remain unchanged
  • Breeding, taming, farming, and other in-game progression will not continue while the game server is offline
  • Once restarted, the game server will continue from its last saved state

If your game server was stopped, you or anyone with guest access can bring it back online at any time by going to your Nitrado web interface and selecting Start Server.

 

We understand the frustration around this, and compensation is something we’re actively evaluating. We’re not able to share specifics yet, as we want to wait until the root cause is confirmed before committing to next steps. We’ll share more as soon as we can.
