The March Update is here with lots of fixes!

It’s time to update Rust! A new Rust update has been released, bringing new ways to find servers, improved models and animations, new music, and more to Rust!

Improved Search and Loading Screen

You can now take your server to the next level with tags! Add tags that best fit your server, and through the Search section, it’ll be easier for players to find your server when searching for those tags. You’ll be able to add tags for when your server wipes, the type of server you’re using (such as Roleplay or Vanilla), and options such as PvE and PvP!

These changes have also included improvements to the loading screen, where you will now see server stats and an improved tooltip section while loading into a server.

Updated World Models

Several items have had visual improvements to their models – we think they look fantastic!

Official Rust Soundtrack

Love the music in Rust, and ready to get your groove on? An amazing downloadable soundtrack has just been released featuring over 29 tracks of the best music from Rust!

General & QoL Changes

Vehicle Body Visuals and Lighting

You can look forward to an improved visual experience when you’re cruising in your cars and snowmobiles, focusing on improving the player’s body movement as they’re driving!

Along with the graphical improvements, lighting on some of the older monuments has also seen improvements with added new lights and effects, including ensuring the insides of buildings do not become too bright during the day.

Magnet Crane Fuel Usage

The time of cranes is here! With this update, the crane vehicle will now drive and feel better! As the crane can be complex, fuel improvements have been made to ensure that when idle, the crane only consumes 20% of the fuel it would have used previously. In addition, the maximum fuel used when not holding anything has also been reduced by 25%.
