    Become Admin in Empyrion – Galactic Survival

    Add an Admin on Empyrion – Galactic Survival using Telnet

    You will need your SteamID64, so keep it handy as it is required to grant admin rights.

     

    You can do this either with PuTTY, a free Telnet client for Windows or with the regular windows Telnet client. This tool will enable a Telnet connection to the game server, allowing you to make the necessary changes.

     

    To start the process, first, stop the server. Then, go to the General Settings and enable Telnet.

    If you do not know how to do this please follow this guide.

    To download PuTTY, a GUI-based (Graphical User Interface) client click here – Putty.

    The server’s IP, Telnet port (Tel_Port), and Telnet password (Tel_Pwd) are required to connect using PuTTY. In this example, we will use the following credentials:

    • IP: 85.190.157.236
    • Port: 23104
    • Connection type: Telnet

    Ensure that the server is running after you have gathered all the necessary information. Once you connect with the server running, you will be prompted to enter the password.

    • Password:123q

    You may need to enter the password twice, as it might be rejected the first time. Additionally, please note that the password must be typed in manually, as copy-pasting is not allowed.

    To assign admin roles, use the following parameters:

    • pl for Player
    • gm for GameMaster
    • mod for Moderator
    • admin  for Administrator

    Example command: setrole 1234567890 admin
