    Become Admin in Your Mumble Server

    What is a SuperUser in Mumble?

    Mumble uses a similar Id to that of Linux systems called a SuperUser to manage servers. Every server has the ability to login as a SuperUser,
    but it requires the admin password to log into the User first.

     *Note: Make sure your admin password for your server is different from the password to log into your server!

    How to log in as SuperUser

    • Click “Connect” on the Server manu at the top. (Or, press Ctrl+O)
    • Click “Add New”
      • Enter the server IP address and port number like you would if you were trying to connect
    • In the Username field, type, “SuperUser”
    • A password Field will appear; Type the admin password here :

    Try to connect. If the password was incorrect, you would then need to retry typing in the password.

    Adding users once you are the SuperUser

    • Right-click the “Root” channel (The root channel is your server name. For example, “Test” is the server name here):

    Once you have done so, follow these steps to make a user admin:

    • Click “Edit”
    • Click on “Groups”
    • Select the admin group from the dropdown box:

    • Select or Type the username you wish to add to the group in the dropdown box below the Members box and click “Add”
    • Click “OK” once you are finished

    Once that is done, the user you have added to the group should have admin rights over the Server!
