This month, all of us at Nitrado, Apex, and MCProHosting are celebrating Women’s History month, International Women’s day, women in gaming, and women’s achievements through the continued ongoing struggle for gender equality. To celebrate the women within our workplaces, below you can meet some of the amazing women in gaming on our teams. From their hard work and achievements, every day we work towards a brighter tomorrow. Below, learn more about these powerful women employees that we’re honored to work alongside and have you meet!

| Meet Arantxa, a strong part of our Marketing Team with a passion for helping others and gaming. As a kid, Arantxa was able to enjoy playing games with her cousin. There, she enjoyed Crash Bandicoot and Metal Slug where she shared plenty of laughs and fun memories(and some fights too 😂). Today, she enjoys games where she can be creative or competitive, including ARK, Minecraft, Stardew Valley, and Crash Bandicoot. While sharing the impact gaming has made on her, she mentioned playing together with others is much more genuine, as “instead of ‘behaving correctly’, whatever you say comes from what you’re feeling and you get to know people in all moods.” We couldn’t agree more as it’s wonderful meeting all the different personalities and moods within the world. We’re grateful that she’s part of the team, bringing waves of empowerment with her! |
Say hello to Tina, a kind-hearted soul who is our DACH Partnerships Manager. Starting off her gaming passion when she was very young, Tina’s dad would let her try out games. As time went on, trying out games turned into a passion for gaming, where she would play with friends, alongside enjoying gaming content on YouTube and Twitch. Nowadays, she enjoys various game genres with friends including FPS, survival, and strategy, from CS:GO to Conan Exiles and Minecraft. Over time, it became clear to her that she wanted gaming as a part of her career. This began her journey toward the studies of Business & Media Psychology, where she researched the perception of women in gaming to better understand why women who play games experience discrimination. This motivation led her to step into the gaming industry and we’re honored that she’s part of the team! |

| Say hi to Jojo, the talented and kind-hearted Global Community Manager. When Jojo was young, her gaming journey began by watching YouTube videos. Through this, it led to her discovering Mixer, a streaming platform for all types of gamers. With this discovery, Jojo found a ton of different gaming communities, some of which provided a second home. This would lead her towards a passion for community building, eventually becoming a Live Chat agent before moving up to the Global Community Manager. The gaming communities Jojo has been a part of led her to recall the influences they’ve had on her: “I think the community growing has definitely been influenced by my habits and preferences. I love to become one on one personal with a lot of my community members which helps also keep them very close, but at the same time I just love knowing my community.” The communities are in amazing hands and we’re proud to have her on the team! |
Give a warm welcome to Roselynn, an extremely helpful and hard-working LiveChat agent always there to help! Early on in life, Roselynn began her life in gaming with flash-based games like Webkins and Club Penguin. It was when she discovered Minecraft that she really got into gaming. Originally playing Minecraft on her phone back when saving and survival mode didn’t exist, she recalled leaving her phone on to ensure she could continue her world the next day. Her gaming passion continued to grow and she mentioned this inspired her towards a career in gaming: “I struggled a lot in school thanks to my autism, so gaming was a great way to take my mind off things. I wanted to make my own game, a fantasy RPG, so I dabbled with basic game-makers throughout highschool.” That path Roselynn started on led to her trying college but unfortunately, the pandemic got in the way. While trying game testing, game blogging, tutorials, and more, nothing seemed right. That was until she discovered MCProHosting as a customer support agent. While this wasn’t her intended way of getting into the industry, she’s glad that she did and we’re really glad to have Roselynn on the team! |

| Give a warm welcome to Taylor, our resident videographer that creates thrilling content for Apex. Beginning early in age, she began gaming on a Gameboy, then a DS, an Xbox, and eventually to PC. Taylor’s passion for gaming has led to her enjoying more calming, story-based games including Detroit: Become Human, and Superliminial, and if she’s not playing those, you can catch her in Minecraft creative mode. There, she’s recreating buildings from her favorite movies and tv shows. While creating content, she’s found that “personal preferences don’t really roll into some of the content I create, and I actually think that creates a bit of an opportunity for more in-depth tutorials since I am focusing on trying to find the easiest and most concise information for new players.” We’re honored that Taylor’s a part of the team and with her, comes mighty levels of creativity and helpfulness to all! |
Meet Erika, a billing support specialist at Apex aimed at providing the best service while learning and teaching others. Erika began her gaming journey at a young age, when she received a PlayStation and games like Crash Bandicoot and Final Fantasy. This led to her playing computer games a few years later where she enjoys League of Legends and survival games like Minecraft and 7 Days to Die. From the moment she began playing on PC, she decided her path would be toward working in the gaming industry. During gaming, Erika recalled the impact of gaming on her: “I believe games aren’t just about having fun, they’re also about learning, and most games teach you important things one way or another, like patience and strategy. Sometimes a level can be very difficult, but it encourages you to try again and look at other angles in order to continue with the story instead of just giving up.” We agree one hundred percent and are thankful to have Erika as part of the team! |

We’re honored every day to work with such passionate and hard-working women in the server hosting industry.
